The six Overwatch League playoff teams have been confirmed, with Philadelphia Fusion joining New York Excelsior, Los Angeles Valiant, Boston Uprising, Los Angeles Gladiators and London Spitfire in the stage playoffs.
Houston Outlaws suffered defeat against season leaders New York Excelsior in the final game of Stage 4, which saw Philadelphia Fusion finish ahead of them, with at least one extra win from their 40 games this season.
Had the Outlaws won the game, they would have moved into sixth place in the stage standings, having finished the season with a greater map difference. Although, their fate would have relied on the Fusion losing their final game.
However, with just three games left to play in the regular season, the top six cannot be changed.
The likes of London and Los Angeles will head to New York for the Overwatch League Grand Finals, which get underway next month on Friday, 27 July.

I am sad because today’s game was the last game of the season. Personally, it was really a disappointing season for me, and I did not show much that I could show, and as a result, it ended badly as a team and as a player. I am sorry to all the fans .
