Fortnite: Battle Royale won’t make any major declarations at E3, or so Epic Games says. However, the video game publisher is utilising the greatest stage in gaming to kick off its venture into esports.
On the schedule is a major fortnite Pro Am competition, which will include 50 pairs of famous people and streamers. These teams will duke it out for a share of the $3 million prize pool, which will be donated to a charity of their choice.
Epic has been gradually revealing the names of the players and celebrities set to compete. The entire list has since been revealed, with famous faces from gaming, music and acting set to appear at the E3 Fortnite Pro Am.
In the event that you end up feeling confused by this list (honestly, who can tell the difference between a streamer and a DJ these days?), the streamers are those on the left and the celebrities are those on the right.

A Fortnite Pro Am tournament feels like the correct starting point for a game that has yet to find its place in the esports universe.
It’s a competition, there is no denying that. However, it is one that is aligned towards fun and excitement, rather than anything too competitive. For a game where the main vehicle is a shopping cart, that is surely the right move.
