CWL Atlanta teams
CWL Atlanta format
The event itself is structured by pool play. This means that the qualifying teams are divided into four pools of five teams.
Four of the available slots will be decided by a 160-team tournament, providing some of CoD’s smaller sides with the chance to qualify for a major tournament.
The pool play will progress like any other tournament event. The losing teams in the beginning will go to the losers bracket, while the winning teams go on to compete for the championship.
CWL Atlanta favourites
Judging by the starting positions for the tournament, one might want to keep an eye on Rise Nation and Luminosity Gaming. These two teams have secured the first place spot in their respective divisions and are in the top five overall in the pro points rankings.
Team Kaliber have a huge advantage over their North American opposition in terms of pro points. They have secured 239,000 pro points so far this season. Luminosity sits in second place with 137,000 pro points.
If the point difference is indicative of real event performance, then Team Kaliber May be the team to root for.
Finally, it’s always worth keeping an eye on the big names. One of the most well known teams in esports, Optic Gaming, will be in attendance.
They aren’t just a popular name. Optic Gaming is sitting in second place in their division, so they clearly have the roster with enough quality to go all the way in Atlanta. They are well-known for a reason, after all.
